Mr. ZHAO Yan, originally trained as an ecologist, has more than ten years of experience in science journalism. He has been awarded several prestigious international awards for his outstanding contributions to Chinese science journalism. From 2003 to 2004, he worked with Prof. Frank Burnet, Executive Director of Graphic Science at University of the West of England and studied science communication as a senior visiting fellow of Chinese Academy of Sciences. In 2004, he received Reuters Journalism Fellowship at Oxford University. In 2005 he was further awarded the Knight Science Journalism Fellowship and received intensive professional training at MIT for a whole academic year. Zhao Yan is the author of two popular books: Reality and Future of Genome Research and The Virus: an Invisible Enemy published right after the outbreak of SARS in 2003. Zhao Yan is one of the three founders of China Science Reporting Network, (http://www.sciencereporting.cn/) a professional non-profit organization in China. He also helped to found the Climate Change Journalist Club (http://www.climatereporting.cn/English.aspx)

Ms HE Jiao received her master degrees in English Literature from Peking University and Comparative Literature from University of British Columbia, Canada, respectively. After working in US for a few years as a financial specialist, she returned to China and joined ScienceNet.cn in 2006. She fully participated in the design and launch of ScienceNet.cn and has been in charge of the daily operation of the website since 2008. She has rich experiences with international organizations and companies. She has represented ScienceNet.cn in many international conferences, forums and other activities.
