China Science Daily
China Science Daily, CSDMG’s flagship, is a preeminent national daily, and has built a great reputation in the Chinese science community. Established in January 1959, China Science Daily’ predecessor KEXUE BAO was originally created as the official news bulletin of CAS. As the first science and technology newspaper and one of the first professional newspapers in China, it helped to shape the model of science reporting in China. With rapid modernization and economical growth in China, there has been an increasing demand from the public for quality reporting. To meet that demand, in 1999, the newspaper evolved into a broadsheet daily covering wide issues of science, health, medicine and environment. On January 1, 2012, it was renamed China Science Daily.
Medical Science News
On January 1, 2015, Medical Science News was founded in Beijing. It was co-created by CSDMG and Chinese Academy of Medical Sciences.
ScienceNet.cn
ScienceNet.cn, another flagship of CSDMG, was launched in January 2007.It has grown into the leading portal for Chinese science community. It provides timely and reliable science news, abundant and valuable classified information, and a highly active virtual platform for professional networking and social activities.
Science News Biweekly
Science News Biweekly was originally launched in January 1999 as the official magazine of CAS. It was re-launched in January 2009 as a news magazine devoted to service science and high-tech professionals in China. It covers a wide range of issues interested to the science communities, including policies, people, breakthroughs, events, life and work opportunities, etc.
Mobile New Media Matrix
On March 13, 2014, ScienceNet.cn opened its official wechat account. Since then, CSDMG has begun to march into new media, including wechat, toutiao, douyin and other new media platforms. Nowadays, CSDMG has formed a comprehensive mobile new media matrix and gained great reputation in the science and higher education field.
