| 38份中国期刊新入选《科学引文索引》 |

汤姆森路透科技信息集团于2008年5月27日发布消息表示，将有700份具有典型地域特色的优秀期刊入选Web of Science（WoS），成为SCI-E和SSCI数据库的来源期刊。这一最新举措极大地拓展了WoS期刊覆盖范围。
最新的消息称，这700份区域期刊中来自中国（含香港地区）的共有38份（香港地区3份），占总比例的5.4%。其中4份为大学学报，11份为中国科学院相关院所刊物，其他为相关学术学会及研究单位主办的刊物。
